Many of the healthcare professionals such as registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) begin their career as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) because nursing assistant career is widely accepted as the start point of nursing career. The course duration for being CNAs vary from one state to another, however the average duration of course ranges up to 91 hours including 16 hours of hands-on training known as ‘clinicals’ and in-class course work for 75 hours. These training courses can be completed in vocational schools, community colleges and even some larger universities but there is also an option to go for online class for being nursing assistant. The online classes are accompanied with hands-on training courses in a clinical institution, which may be a nursing home, hospital or a healthcare facility.
